Key-to-Pay
PCI Pal’s Key-to-Pay solution is a secure payment method that allows customers to enter their card details using their telephone keypad during a phone call with a contact center agent. When the agent initiates a Key-to-Pay session, the call is secured and DTMF tones are masked, meaning the agent hears only flat beeps instead of the actual keypad tones while dots appear on their screen instead of card numbers.
Customers enter their card number, expiry date, and CVV through their phone keypad while the agent remains on the line to provide guidance and support. The payment data is encrypted and sent directly to the payment gateway without ever being accessible to the agent or stored in the contact center environment. This technology enables organizations to take secure payments over the phone while maintaining PCI DSS compliance and delivering a seamless customer experience with real-time agent assistance.
