The PCI Pal team returned home from Orlando, Florida reflecting on a hugely successful week at the Card Not Present Expo 2017.

From Monday 22nd May to Thursday 25th, the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando played host to thousands of delegates and over 50 hours of talks, culminating in the much anticipated awards evening, in which PCI Pal were shortlisted for two high-profile awards.

Customer’s Choice, Twice!

Shortlisted in both the Best Call Center Solution and Best PCI Compliance Provider categories, the PCI Pal team were absolutely delighted to accept the Customer Choice award in both categories. Voted for by the customers of the providers in each category, the awards are seen as being testament to those that go the extra mile to support their consumer needs.

CNP award winners

“As e-commerce and mobile payments continue to grow, retailers have a growing array of companies—new and old—bringing new technologies to bear to meet the challenges of accepting card-not-present transactions,” said D.J. Murphy, editor-in-chief and co-founder of and the CNP Expo. “That range of potential partners is reflected in this year’s CNP Awards. The CNP Awards have become the standard by which companies, programs and services around the world are being recognized for excellence. Congratulations to PCI Pal; winning the online vote in this category exemplifies their commitment to providing their customers the perfect mix of product and service.”

This sentiment was echoed by PCI Pal Chief Commercial Officer James Barham, who stepped up to the stage to collect the awards on behalf of the whole PCI Pal team.

“Building relationships is so crucial to the success of both our business and those of our clients, so we couldn’t be more pleased to see our efforts recognized at such a high profile event. I’m immensely proud of the team we have assembled and the agile manner in which we continue to adapt to customer needs to provide an award-winning service.”

Sharing knowledge at CNP Expo

Prior to accepting the dual award, James had been selected to offer his industry expertise to delegates on the demo stage, not once, but twice!

Firstly, he was one of five high-profile security panellists chosen to discuss and debate on the subject ‘PCI & CNP: how to spell security’ on the Rosen Shingle Creek demo stage. A well-attended and lively debate explored how PCI compliance requirements have changed and the key factors that contact center managers need to be wary of as well as the measures that should be taken in order to ensure compliance moving forwards.

Two hours later, James was in action again, this time taking the stage alone to run through his demo presentation titled ‘Securing Contact Center Payments in Multi-Channel Environments’. Outlining the challenges faced by contact centers as they aim to securely embrace the multiple touchpoints across which customers may wish to make a payment, the talk also saw one lucky winner take home the exciting new Google Home device.

Continued growth for PCI Pal

With so many senior security, ecommerce, software, mobile, retail and payments professionals in attendance, the event was a fantastic opportunity for the PCI Pal team to network and discuss all things PCI compliance with interested parties. Running alongside CX17 Indy, the event saw PCI Pal further enhance their growing footprint in the USA as the company continues to grow its international client base and range of PCI compliant secure payment solutions. With two awards now added to the trophy cabinet back at London headquarters, the focus shifts to the next event in the Genesys CX17 series in Brussels.
