PCI London is the UK’s largest gathering of payment risk and security professionals, tasked with securing payments systems, protecting cardholder data and meeting PCI DSS requirements.

Held at the Park Plaza Victoria and in its 11th successful production, the event itself was a great chance for networking and seeing technologies and developments in the payment security world. The PCI Pal team attended as a sponsor and spent time talking with those interested in deepening their knowledge of PCI compliance, as well as catching up with new and existing peers.

This edition of PCI London focused on key topics, such as protecting the cardholder from risk, anticipating change within the industry and maintaining compliance as requirements change or evolve.

The key presentation during the day was centered on how an organization did everything they could to become compliant and prevent data loss – and still got hacked! The message is clear. If you don’t need to store it, don’t!

With a good mix of businesses and providers, and speakers from some of the biggest global organizations, such as BBC News Online and American Airlines, PCI London was definitely an event not to be missed!
