PCI Pal® Achieves PCI DSS Service Provider Level 1 Certification for Sixth Consecutive Year

PCI Pal, the specialist provider of secure payment solutions for global contact centers, has confirmed it has again achieved compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Level 1 Service Provider certification, which this year includes its Amazon Web Services (AWS) virtualized, globally accessible environment.
It is the first year PCI Pal’s Amazon Web Services-based platform has been assessed as part of the annual certification. The true-cloud service enables PCI Pal to deliver its payment and data security solutions across Amazon’s global cloud regardless of the territory within which its customers operate. The Amazon Web Services platform provides PCI Pal with the ability to regionalize customer data, adhering to country-specific data sovereignty rules to ensure sensitive payment data is handled correctly.
James Barham, Chief Commercial Officer for PCI Pal said: “The PCI DSS standards were created to ensure the security of credit and debit card transactions, and protect cardholders against fraud and misuse of their personal payment information. Our recertification to the PCI DSS as a Level 1 Service Provider is an essential element to our business delivering secure data handling services to organizations taking payments globally. We are delighted as well with the inclusion of our AWS environment within this year’s certification, a platform that is transforming the way we can facilitate access to our services across the globe.”
The PCI DSS standards were designed and are maintained by the PCI Security Standards Council, a put together by leading card schemes including MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover Financial Services and JCB International.
