Verizon’s 2022 Payment Security Report
Verizon’s 2022 Payment Security Report (PSR) follows the release of PCI DSS v4.0 and is calling for organizations to focus on scalable and simplified strategy in the contact centre. The report in full will guide you through how to navigate the changing requirements introduced by PCI DSS v4.0, with clear goals, a logical process, and innovative models that eliminate core conflicts and constraints. An industry-leading, annual report, the 2022 PSR highlights both the progress and the long way that many organizations have to go, equipping them with the right resources to do so.
2022 PSR Insights
Following the publication of Verizon’s 2022 Payment Security Report, we have released an infographic highlighting some of the primary payment security takeaways. In our infographic, we cover the evolving payments landscape and show through data that the compliance-related tools many organizations have in place today won’t provide them with the compliant payment experience they will need for tomorrow. Both the report and infographic discuss how compensating controls in the contact centre, such as pause and resume, are merely band-aid solutions for a greater problem, and both a vulnerability to security and the customer experience. The call to descope and ensure that sensitive data never enters an organization’s environment is getting louder than ever, and we are pleased to come alongside organizations in that process with the right solutions.
Additionally, in this infographic you will find:
- Stats driving the evolution of the compliance landscape. Payment security moves increasingly higher on organizations’ priority lists each year, and the data backs it up. You can see the adoption of trends and requirements, but also the gaps between partial and full compliance.
- Navigational guide for PCI DSS v4.0. With eight key directives from the 2022 PSR, take the time to ensure you look at the big picture and ensure you’re making smart choices for your contact centre that preserve both employee time and ongoing payment security.
- Compensating control trends. With many organizations having one or multiple in place, this is a great opportunity to take a look at simplifying the compliance process and streamlining solutions. We’ve seen threats and compliance regulations get stronger in tandem, and this is a great opportunity to batten down the hatches and ensure you’re putting your organization’s best foot forward heading into PCI DSS v4.0.
