Podcast mic and laptop

With 12% of UK adults and 24% of the US population streaming each week, podcasts have changed the way we consume audio. In today’s world, we expect entertainment on-demand and with 56 million* episodes readily available on just about every topic, there’s a podcast for all interests – from true crime to politics. What’s more, they fit into our fast-paced lives – easily consumed while carrying out other tasks. Podcasts have taken the world by storm, so much so there is even an ‘International Podcast Day’. In celebration, check out our top five most popular episodes, to date, from our podcast  ‘Secure Payments’.

  1. Payments: The Future of Security and CX

In this episode, we followed up with some of the contributors to our inaugural virtual conference ‘Payments: The Future of Security and CX’. An array of industry experts share their views and insights on the future of payments, compliance, security and customer experience within the contact centre and wider business communication environment before we probe them further on their predictions for the future.

  1. Five Agenda Items for CISOs in 2021

Back in January, PCI Pal’s own CISO, Geoff Forsyth, discussed the key topics on his ‘to do list’ for the year ahead. Making the list are topics such as Brexit and the ramifications for payment security now the UK has left the EU, moving IT infrastructure over to the public cloud, remote working (of course), PSD2 and preparing for PCI DSS 4.0.

  1. Compliance in the Cloud

The cloud brings lots of advantages to businesses, but also many of its own challenges. In this episode, Jane Goodayle, PCI Pal’s SVP Global Marketing, is joined by Geoff Forsyth to discuss designing and delivering a global cloud platform for achieving PCI DSS compliance. Geoff also offers advice and considerations to organisations embarking on their own cloud journey.

  1. Making Compliance a Habit

Another popular New Year throwback from early 2021, our Data Protection Officer, Innes French, discusses why compliance is a habit organisations must maintain all year round. Innes touches upon why compliance rates continue to fall and why few businesses are able to keep a minimum baseline of security controls in place before sharing his advice on how companies can stop slipping and turn compliance into a (good) habit.

  1. Compliance for the Public Sector

Joined by our partners, Civica, in this episode we put the public sector under a microscope, focusing on the common difficulties faced when it comes to securing payments and adhering to PCI DSS. This 20-minute episode takes a look into why it is crucial that systems and processes are in place to protect customer information and to ensure public sector organisations comply with the very latest data protection and security compliance guidance and regulations.

Have a listen to these and the other episodes featured on the Secure Payments channel. Don’t forget to subscribe in order to keep up to date with the latest in payment security and customer experience – Happy International Podcast Day!
