Information Security Project Manager (UK Based)

The opportunity

PCI Pal’s Information Security team requires a dynamic individual to lead all project management and reporting initiatives for our team. We are an agile and innovative team and are responsible for ensuring that the confidentiality, integrity and availability (CIA) of our internal, external environments, and client solutions are always maintained. The PM function will be focused on ownership of all Information Security and Data Privacy project initiatives, including reporting and overall program monitoring. There will also be additional cross-functional activities that will be inclusive of the role.

Job requirements

  • Knowledge of Information/Cyber Security processes and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of risk management.
  • A strong collaborator with a positive professional attitude.
  • Have experience of managing Information Security and Data Privacy projects within a dynamic business environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and maintaining multiple projects and/or initiatives simultaneously and effectively producing required metric orientated reports.
  • Have experience with producing quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with an emphasis of using key risk indicators (KRIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Have assisted in a supporting capacity with team planning and associated forecasting activities.
  • Use effective communication skills to present and manage meetings within the team, with stakeholders and project sponsors.
  • Have a high-level knowledge, of the following areas:
    – Understanding of Information Security and Compliance frameworks
    – Understanding of software development methodologies, e.g., Agile and PRINCE2 etc.
    – Understanding of Data Privacy legislation, e.g. GDPR
    – Understanding audit lifecycles and tracking corrective actions appropriately.
  • Can communicate effectively, openly, and authentically in both written and verbal forms.
  • Being tenacious about delivering high quality results for our both the team and the business.
  • Have completed, or having a desire to complete, PRinCE2 or similar Project Management qualifications.
  • Have an appreciation of SaaS solutions, telecommunication software and/or compliance solution.

Primary responsibilities

  • Managing and maintaining the full project lifecycle for all Information Security and Data Privacy projects.
  • This would include comprehensive management from the project’s inception phase to tracking operational effectiveness post go-live.
  • Responsible for defining project scope(s), objective(s), milestones, resource management, risk tracking, and managing timelines.
  • Creating and defining suitable Information Security project charters covering all domains from GRC, Audit, Operations, Engineering and Data Privacy.
  • Managing and tracking project lifecycle using a combination of online and offline tooling.
  • Providing regular and timely project status reports to key stakeholders.
  • Working in unison with other team members to deliver tactical to strategic level roadmap initiatives.
  • Compile and provide regular metric orientated reports that detail defined Information Security key risk indicators (KRIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Work in partnership with other teams as and when required.
